Terms of Service
As an exclusive member of The Association of Wedding Gown Specialists, we take great pride in cleaning & preserving your wedding gown and formal wear attire, and use extensive measures to protect and restore the original details. However, due to the delicate nature of specialty gown cleaning, soil and staining on fragile materials require unconventional stain removal and cleaning methods. The processes required and risks associated as discussed in detail at my gown analysis consultation include, but are not limited to the following acknowledgements listed below:
I understand that,
The duration of time spent wearing my wedding gown/formal attire is referred to as normal ‘wear & tear’ from the wedding day. Common occurrences of weakened fibers are a result of wear & tear. These weaknesses such as, (but not limited to); abrasions, snags, nitches, chafing, netting holes/tears, fiber separations, fiber slippage and weak seam lines may be considered weak points in the fabric and may further weaken/separate during the care process. we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weakness or defects in materials that are not readily apparent prior to processing
The overlaying fabrics that are constructed in the style & structure of my gown/formal wear attire are very delicate and intricate. This means that elements such as invisible threads, adhesive applied (glued) lace appliques can easily loosen and may detach from my wedding gown/formal attire during the gown care process.
The retail value of my wedding gown/formal attire does not necessarily mean it can withstand normal cleaning procedures. Designers/manufacturers place care labels on gowns to sell, not to service according to the international trade laws. Therefore manufacturers do not conduct proper cleaning tests based on what is written on their label and can be deemed as mislabeling. We, the fabricare textile & wedding gown specialists exercise our professional knowledge of identifying proper fiber contents and will determine the safest and most effective core cleaning processes.
There is no guarantee on complete stain removal from a chemistry standpoint, and we will deem improvements on staining as best possible in our professional opinion.
Style & Grace Cleaners Inc. assumes no liability or responsibility for damage caused due to manufacturing defect or failure, poor dye performance, mislabeling label or no care label, buttons, buckles, zippers, trim, and ornaments, or the inability to withstand normal dry and/or wet cleaning and/or laundering procedures
Embellishments will always be considered high risk when caring for your wedding gown. Mobility of beading will often result in embellishments loosening and separating from your wedding gown/formal attire. We kindly remind you that we make every effort to minimize this from happening however can not prevent it from happening in our special handling measures outlined in the services you have opted in or out of.
Some procedures can cause bead and sequin damage or dissolve glue holding the trim on the garment. Since trim & embellishments are oftentimes sourced from a different manufacture, beads and sequins may discolour, lose their lustre/gloss or dissolve with processing. Therefore, we cannot be held responsible for the following, but not limited to: glued trim/embellishments, fabric covered buttons, silver coated beading may tarnish over time becoming a darker grey appearance.
Fabric discoloration is a type of oxidation decomposition of the optical brightener used on the trim to impart the desired shade and sheen by manufacturers. Brightening agents/fluorescent finishes and optical dye technology are applied during manufacture to enhance beauty, however can diminish in normal dry and/or wet cleaning and/or laundering procedures. Fabrics that are multicoloured, bleeding of colours may occur on garments with trim or edging of a different colour.
